Window Tinting Questions, Answered

Everything homeowners and businesses usually ask before tinting their windows.

General

What is window film, and how does it work?

Window film is a thin, multi-layer polyester film applied to the inside of your existing glass. Its coatings reflect or absorb a large share of the sun's heat, block ultraviolet rays, and cut glare. That means you get a cooler, more comfortable room without replacing your windows.

Do you tint both homes and businesses?

Yes. We handle residential window tinting for living rooms, sunrooms, sliding doors, bedrooms, and whole homes, and commercial window tinting for offices, storefronts, restaurants, and professional buildings.

What types of window film do you install?

We install four main types: solar & UV film for heat and UV control, privacy film for daytime privacy, decorative film for frosted and etched looks, and security film that helps hold glass together on impact. Not sure which you need? We'll recommend the right one when we quote your job.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Keller and serve Fort Worth, Keller, and the greater Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. If you're not sure whether you're in our area, just call or text (817) 805-6732.

Installation

How long does installation take?

It depends on the size of the project. Most homes take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours, and commercial projects can take longer. We'll give you a time estimate along with your quote so you can plan around it.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Just give us clear access to the windows. Move furniture, decor, and anything on the sills a few feet back, and let us know about any blinds or shutters ahead of time. We take care of cleaning the glass and cleaning up after ourselves.

Can window film go on any type of window?

Film can be installed on most residential and commercial glass. Some windows, like certain dual-pane or low-E glass, need a compatible film to avoid putting thermal stress on the glass. We check your glass type before recommending a film.

Do you remove old window film?

Yes. We remove old film that's peeling, bubbling, faded, or just outdated, and we can install new film in its place.

Performance

Will window film lower my energy bills?

Window film rejects a significant portion of the sun's heat before it builds up inside, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard. How much you save depends on the film and how much sun your windows get. West- and south-facing glass usually sees the biggest difference in the Texas heat.

Will it protect my furniture and floors from fading?

The films we install block up to 99% of UV rays, which are the leading cause of fading. Heat and visible light also play a role, so no film stops fading completely, but it slows it down dramatically for furniture, flooring, and artwork.

Can I still see out of my windows?

Yes. You can still see out clearly, and we offer films from nearly clear to darker shades. Reflective privacy films let you see out while making it hard to see in during the day. Keep in mind that at night, with your lights on inside, the effect reverses, so you'll still want blinds or curtains for nighttime privacy.

Will window film make my windows shatterproof?

Not exactly. Security film doesn't make glass unbreakable, but it holds broken glass together so it's much harder to get through and less likely to scatter shards from storms, accidents, or break-in attempts.

Cost & Care

How much does window tinting cost?

Pricing depends on how many windows you have, their size, the type of film, and how easy they are to reach. Since every job is different, the best way to get an accurate number is a free quote.

Are your quotes really free?

Yes. Quotes are free with no obligation. Call or text (817) 805-6732, email [email protected], or fill out the quote form below.

Is window film covered by a warranty?

Yes. We offer warranties for your peace of mind, and we stand behind our work. We'll go over the coverage for your film when we quote your job.

How do I clean and care for tinted windows?

Use a soft microfiber cloth with mild soapy water or an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, scrapers, and razor blades on the film.
